CHARLES E. PEPPER

CHARLES E. PEPPER SR., age 56, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 3:35 p.m. at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 16, 1960 in Grayson County, KY to Robert and Emma Jewel Sermon Pepper. Charles was self-employed and managed C&J Trash Services. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, working outdoors, camping, fishing, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, David Pepper, Christine Arbogast, Lloyd Pepper, Larry Pepper, Bobby Pepper, and Shelby Jean Pepper.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie (Margaret O’Flynn) Pepper, whom he married on June 9, 1984; his children, Charlie E. (Megan) Pepper Jr., Mark (Bethany) Merriman, Joshua Pepper, Melissa (Matthew) Lepkowski, and Ashley (Zach) DeAtley; eight grandchildren, Brailon, Hadaleigh, Rylan, Andrew, Alex, Aiden, Kylah, and Luke; siblings, Barbara Baker, Bill (Bernice) Pepper, Beatrice Howard, Imogene Pepper, George Pepper, Donald Pepper, and Carmen Pepper; special friend, Randy Cline; and his loving canine companion, Zooey. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. David Glauner officiating with burial to follow in the Sugarcreek Methodist Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4-8:00 p.m.
