WASHINGTON CH 66, HAMILTON TOWNSHIP 43
The Blue Lions led 18-14 after the 1st quarter then slowly pulled away in the 2nd period by a 17-7 advantage & open up to a 14 point halftime lead (35-21).
The Lions (6-1) who now have won 6 games in a row were led by Alec Wayne 16 points (season high) & Christian Johnson with 10 points. Blue Lions had 8 players in the scoring column.
Hamilton Township (0-10) were led in scoring by Kylan Coegan with 13 points.
Washington CH will travel to Columbus DeSales Tuesday night while Hamilton Township plays at Logan Elm also on Tuesday.
CLINTON-MASSIE 42, LIEMON MONROE 39
The Falcons led 27-12 at halftime then had to hold off a charge by Monroe Saturday night as they saw their double digit lead cut to 30-25 going in the final period.
Falcons used the long ball as they hit eight 3s in the contest including four 4 of them from Zack Santoro who led the Falcons (2-1) with 16 points. Dylan Rose added 11 points for Falcons who will next play Tuesday night at Hillsboro in their opening league contest of the SCOL season for the Falcons.
The Falcons-Indians game will be broadcast on Buckeye Country Radio 105.5FM & I heart Radio.
CANAL WINCHESTER 42, CHILLICOTHE 40
The Cavs led through most of the contest but a three point play by Brendan Snyder with 40 seconds left gave the Indians the lead for good. Chillicothe was up 40-35 with under 5 minutes left in the game only to see Canal Winchester score the last 7 minutes of the contest.
Both teams only had 4 players that scored during the game. Chillicothe (3-5 overall) was led by Tommy Bolte with 22 points. Canal was led by Snyder's 29 points.
Chillicothe will travel to East Clinton on Tuesday as they return to SCOL action.
