CLINTON-MASSIE 42, MIAMI TRACE 7
The Falcons clinched at least a share of the SCOL title Friday night & won their 37th straight league contest after a 200 yard/3 TD performance by Chayse Wolf. Older brother Bayle missed action for the 3rd time this season.
Clinton-Massie (8-1/5-0) got another outstanding passing performance by Hunter Fentress as he completed 10 passes for 162 yards & 2 TDs.
A win next week against East Clinton will clinch the Falcons 6th straight outright SCOL title.
Miami Trace (6-3/3-2) avoided a shutout with a TD run from Trevor Haines who led the team with 75 yards rushing.
WASHINGTON CH 34, HILLSBORO 14
The Blue Lions (5-4/3-2) open up the 2nd half with a 15 play 80 yard drive that took over 7 minutes off the clock to nail their 8th straight win over the Indians. The drive was capped off by Tye Smith 2nd of 4 touchdowns in the game & extended a slim 13-7 halftime lead to 21-7 after a 2 point conversation by Malik Pettiford.. Smith finished the game with 233 rushing yards & 40 yards receiving unofficially.
Kyle Garrett had 63 yards rushing & a TD. Josh Williams threw for 148 yards. Washington forced 3 fumbles with Aaron Greer recovering 2 of them.
Hillsboro (1-8/0-5) Logan Leslie threw for 114 yards, a TD & ran for another 17 yards. Jordan Mosley ran for 35 yards & had a TD run.
CHIILICOTHE 28, EAST CLINTON 0
Cavaliers Head Coach Ron Hinton picked up career win 300 Friday night. Also the Cavs went 4-0 at home this season & didn't give up an opponent point. The win puts them at 5-1 in the SCOL. Since the Cavs (8-1/5-1) plays a non league game next week the worst would be a 2nd place finish in the league. An East Clinton upset over the Falcons would then have a tie for the title between Chillicothe & Clinton-Massie.
Nate Rosenbauer scored twice for Chilly as starting quarterback Ryan Mathis didn't play in the contest.
East Clinton (3-6/2-3) Dalton Floyd was 22 of 46 for 204 passing yards.
JACKSON 27, GREENFIELD MCCLAIN 0
Again playing without starter Thomas Schrader the Tigers failed to score on 2 separate drives inside the 5 yard line & had 2 TDs taken off the board by some interesting calls by the officials. The loss was Greenfield (3-6/0-5) 6th in a row.
