CLINTON MASSIE 59, WASHINGTON CH 38
The Lady Falcons (19-0 overall/12-0 SCOL) finish off the SCOL portion of their schedule by going undefeated after winning Monday night at Washington Court House.
The Falcons jumped out to a 10-0 lead before Washington score their first points of the contest on a three pointer from Emma Anderson at the 1:45 mark. Massie finished leading after the first period 12-3. The Lady Lions though started to close the gap early in the second period after hitting 3 of their first 4 three point shots & pulled to within TO 14-11. That was as close as the Lady Lions would get the rest of the contest. Clinton-Massie expanded the lead 29-18 at the half.
The Falcons exploded for 20 points in the 3rd quarter scoring 10 of those points off the Blue Lions 6 turnovers during that period. Falcons led 49-23 going into the 4th quarter & after that both teams started working in reserve players to finish out the contest. Clinton Massie was unofficially 22 of 58 from the field (37.9%) including 1 of 2 on three point shots. They were 14 of 17 from the charity stripe.
They had 36 rebounds (16 offensive) & only 7 turnovers in the contest. Washington CH (10-10 overall/4-7 SCOL) was 12 of 41 from the field (29.3%) including 8 of 19 on three point shots (42.1%) & was 4 of 5 from the free throw line. Washington had 13 turnovers that gave the Falcons 16 points. The Lady Lions had only 15 rebounds (12 defensive).
Clinton Massie was led by Kasey Uetrecht with 20 points (16 in the 2nd half) & Sydney Brackenmyre with 17 points (13 in the 1st half) & 17 rebounds.
Washington CH was led by Emma Anderson with 11 points & Carleigh Chaffins with 8 points.
Clinton Massie is scheduled to play a varsity only game Wednesday at 6pm at home against Greeneview & Washington Court House is scheduled to host Greenfield McClain.
