The Division 4 current state football champions had to wait a little longer to get their season started but they wasted no time jumping out to a quick 14-0 lead & rolled to their 16th straight win. The game, which was suspended Saturday and moved to Sunday, was played without the services of star running back Bayley Wolf. The senior Wolf missed due to an arm injury from a recent scrimmage.
Falcons were led by Bayley younger brother Chase who scored three times & unofficially rushed for over 200 yards. Quarterback Hunter Fentress added 2 TD via the pass & rush for 2 more.
The contest between Clinton-Massie & Blanchester was to be played Saturday night at Centerville as part of the Crosstown Shootout, but lightning & rain delayed the game for over 3 1/2 hours. It was finally decided by officials to move the game back to Clinton-Massie High School.
