The Falcons took advantage of three Blue Lions turnovers in the first half as well as a passing game that the Falcons haven't really used in several years to jump out to a 35-0 halftime lead. Team leading rusher Bayle Wolf was taken out by Coach McShurley early in the contest after Wolf banged up his ankle. Wolf is expected to go in next week game at home against Miami Trace.
Chayse Wolf led the team in rushing with 3 TDs & 67 yards rushing. Overall the team rushed for 331 yards. Sophomore Quarterback Hunter Fentress was 11 of 15 in the contest with 170 yards coming in the first half.
Washington CH was held unofficially to 95 yards in offense. Tye Smith was led with 47 yards rushing & Josh Williams was 5 of 11 for 49 yards.
The win was the Falcons 36th SCOL win in a row as they go to 7-1 overall & 4-0 in the league. Washington CH drops to 4-4 & 2-2 in the SCOL.
MIAMI TRACE 42, GREENFIELD MCCLAIN 6
Jimmy Stroker threw for 114 yards, ran in a score & pass for another & Trevor Haines had 2 TD runs to help the Panthers picked up another win Friday night. The contest puts Trace at 6-2 overall & 3-1 in the league. Miami Trace rolled with 494 total yards on offense.
McClain has now lost 5 games in a row after a 3-0 non conference start lost starting quarterback/safety Thomas Schrader earlier in the week with an injury so the team started a freshman quarterback. Schrader status for next week game against Jackson not available at this time. Tigers only score came on a 6 yard Dillion Hunick run. The Tigers had only 106 yards on offense all on the ground.
CHILLICOTHE 49, HILLSBORO 0
The Indians ran more plays & ran more time off the clock but Chillicothe took advantage of their 41 plays including Markel Cain 146 yards rushing & 3 TDs to roll to their third home win of the season. Chillicothe had 480 total yards in offense.
The Indians were led by Toby Warrington 29 yards rushing & 45 yards passing as the Indians despite running 63 plays had only 140 yards in offense.
Chillicothe moves to 7-1 overall & 4-1 in the league. Hillsboro drops to 1-7 & 0-4 in the SCOL.
DAYTON MEADOWDALE 20, EAST CLINTON 15
The Astros couldn't hold on to a 15-6 halftime lead & the Lions kept East Clinton from hitting the 500 mark on the season.
Astros early lead came after a Dalton Floyd to Clyde Snow TD pass & a Floyd rushing TD. Astros drops to 3-5 overall.
