Hillsboro City Council has approved a contract with the Fraternal Order of Police setting up the contract with the Hillsboro Police and the City, while negotiations continue with EMS and Fire officials.

In the 18 months this battle has gone on, Ryan says the Firefighters Union (IFFA) has offered several concessions.
But, Mayor Drew Hastings says the firefighters should have made the best of the opportunity they were given earlier in the negotiations with a "win-win deal", which is why they are at impasse now.
