Authorities say they believe alcohol was a factor in two separate injury crashes that took place within an hour of each other in Fayette County, Sunday. Sheriff Stanforth says the first crash took place at 11:52pm in the 5,000-block of State Route 753.
Stanforth says 37-year-old Rachael Hall, of Greenfield, drove left of center in a curve, and the vehicle eventually overturned in a field. Hall and a passenger, 29-year-old Casey Ratliff, of Frankfort, were transported to a hospital via medical helicopter; neither were wearing a seat belt.
A second crash took place on State Route 41 south of its intersection with Miami Trace Road. Authorities say 46-year-old Kevin Jones, of Xenia, was on a motorcycle when he drove off the right side and hit a guardrail.
Jones was ejected and later flown to a Dayton hospital.
