Help is available for those who will be making their Medicare selections. Cheryl Stockwell, with the Fayette County Commission on Aging, says it changes periodically. While most are annually, some require changes from month to month. And she says the best time to enroll for a supplement to Medicare is the three months before you turn 65 or within the 180 days from the time you turn 65 because you will be guaranteed to be picked up during that time.
In fact, Stockwell says they can only ask you two questions: If you have in stage Renal Disease or if you area a smoker. According to Stockwell, that is all they are legally allowed to ask you.
She says people who need help in making their selections for the upcoming enrollment period can contact her at 335-2159.
The Fayette Commission on Aging is located at 1179 South Elm Street in Washington CH.
