Fayette County Auditor Mike Smith announces a big change in two different programs for 2014.
One is the Homestead Exemption Act for senior citizens, who own their own homes. It includes an "income test" for those turning 65-years-of age. In years past, seniors only had to be 65 and or 100% disabled.
The other change Smith announced involves the renewal of dog tags. Dog owners will now have "multiple options" in getting tags renewed.
