The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the theft of several batteries and tools from a commercial farm vehicle that was parked in the 6000 block of Greenfield-Sabina Road. The theft occurred sometime during the overnight hours of Tuesday, October 15th.
According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, Ronald R. Rockhold, a resident of Concord Township in Fayette County reported that farm equipment was left parked at the above location and upon returning the following morning, it was discovered that person(s) unknown entered the property and removed multiple batteries and miscellaneous tools from the machinery. Other crimes similar in nature have been reported and investigated by the Sheriff’s Office in recent months.
Sheriff’s detectives are continuing their investigation and encourage anyone with knowledge of the crimes or who may have observed suspicious activity in the area to contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office with any information at (740)335-6170.
A reward of $2500.00 dollars in being offered by the Farm Bureau for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) involved in the incident.
